Bonzai Children
Does anyone remember that episode of Futurama where Bender took in a bunch of orphans for the $100 per child government stipend? How about that episode of The Shield where a foster family was caught locking their kids under the stairs? Apparently, so did these asshats.
Nine children were found locked in cages in their home in Wakeman in Huron County, NewsChannel5 reported.
The sheriff said the kids, ages 1 to 14, were found in the cages with no blankets or pillows on Friday. The wooden cages, estimated to be about 3 feet by 3 feet, were built into the walls. Officials are not releasing the photos of the cages, but the sheriff described them as makeshift cellblocks.
The parents, Sharon and Mike Gravelle, didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with their treatment, officials said. Officials said all the children were adopted children. The Gravelles have not been arrested. They had 11 children in all.
Ok, I have two problems here. First, what sort of ass backwards hillbilly at family services is allowing anyone to adopt 11 god damn kids? Seriously, I don’t care if you do have the money to take care of them, these kids have enough problems. Cages aside, the last thing they need is to be treated like livestock and crammed into a single house. Add on to that, either the person(s) who authorized these adoptions is completely incompetent (”Duh, those cages are purrrddyy.”), an idiot who simply rubber-stamped someones attempt at a vintage child collection or a con artist who was in on this. Either way, they should be charged with every crime the parents should be charged with.
Which brings me to my second problem. THE PARENTS HAVEN’T BEEN CHARGED YET! What the holy hell is wrong with this fucktards?!? They’ll throw the book at a parent who smacks his kid trying to cross the street without looking, but lock children in your charge in a cage smaller then the one I use for my Jack Russel and you just get the legal equivalent of the “evil eye”. If I were in charge, this would be the perfect time to reinstate stockades and public executions.
