[Update] Estimate is In
Wow, I’m glad to see the people at Firestone wasted no time in getting this resolved. A little over 12 hours after the accident, I got a call from Rick with Firestone’s Claims department and he didn’t argue or fuss over anything. Just said take it to a body shop of your choice, fax us the estimate and we’ll issue the check. He also set up a really nice rental car for me (a 2005 Chevy TrailBlazer) while my car’s getting fixed. Very, very cool.
Armed with that, I went up to the local Ford dealership’s body shop to get the estimate I needed. Holy crap, he’s saying it’s going to cost $2100 to fix! 
That’s more then double what I was expecting it to be. Amazing..lol. What’s more, it’s going to take between 2 and 3 weeks for the parts and labor to finish up.
