Slacking Off

Man do I feel like a tool. The last few weeks I’ve been slacking off like crazy over YaBB. The Codex project really has taken a back seat while I sort some things out in my personal life. Not that I don’t keep an eye on it to make sure things aren’t being ripped apart, but all the extra sections I was going to write up for it still haven’t been produced and there’ s no one to blame but me. It’s just every time I try to sit down to write something, some stupid distraction shows up and pulls me away from it long enough to loose track of what I was going to do.

In other news, YaBB seems to have hit a bit of a growth spurt. Since Y2’s launch, the number of installs I’ve run into in the wild have been on the up swing. Now, I’m a realist and I’m well aware this won’t last long, but it from an admin’s standpoint, it’s nice to see some phpBBs being replaced with Y2. Nothing against that project (us open-source projects need to stick together, after all), but I also need to root for the home team, right?
